Job Description

Berkeley Travel and Tourism is looking for a motivated and experienced Outbound Tour Officer to handle international travel arrangements, visa processing, flight and hotel bookings, travel insurance, and other outbound travel-related services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle outbound tour operations and international travel arrangements.
  • Manage airline reservations, ticketing, rebooking, cancellations, and fare inquiries using GDS systems.
  • Search flight availability, prepare quotations, make reservations, and issue air tickets.
  • Handle VFS appointment scheduling and booking for applicable countries.
  • Assist clients with visa documentation and application preparation.
  • Prepare and verify visa application forms, supporting documents, checklists, cover letters, and other required paperwork.
  • Coordinate with clients regarding visa requirements, appointments, document submission, and application status.
  • Make international hotel reservations according to client requirements.
  • Arrange and issue travel insurance for international travelers.
  • Prepare customized outbound tour packages and travel itineraries.
  • Coordinate with airlines, hotels, DMCs, visa centers, insurance companies, and other travel service providers.
  • Assist clients with airport transfers, tours, sightseeing, and other travel-related arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, client documents, payments, and travel files.
  • Provide professional customer service and timely responses to client inquiries.
  • Follow up on visa applications, bookings, ticketing, and other travel arrangements.
  • Stay updated on visa requirements, airline policies, travel regulations, and destination-specific entry requirements.
Job Specification
  • Previous experience in outbound travel, ticketing, visa processing, or travel agency operations.
  • Practical working knowledge of Amadeus and Sabre GDS is required.
  • Good knowledge of international airfares, flight schedules, reservations, and ticketing procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with VFS appointment booking and visa documentation.
  • Good knowledge of hotel booking platforms and travel insurance procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of international travel and visa requirements.
  • Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office and online booking systems.
  • Strong customer-handling, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client files simultaneously.
  • Experience handling UK, Schengen, USA, Canada, and Australia visas (and other major destinations) is an advantage
