Job Description

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and systems aligned with the company’s strategic goals. This role involves overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training, legal compliance, and organizational development to ensure a productive, motivated, and compliant workforce. The HR Manager will work closely with senior management, department heads, and factory leadership to foster a culture of efficiency, accountability, and teamwork across the company and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with corporate goals and operational needs.
  • Review and update HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with Labor Law of Nepal and other relevant legislations.
  • Contribute to organizational structure design, job analysis, and manpower planning.
  • Support management in organizational development and change management initiatives.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, ensuring fairness and transparency.
  • Develop job descriptions, coordinate job advertisements, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Maintain an updated HR database and personnel records (digital and physical).
  • Implement talent retention and career development strategies.
  • Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems aligned with company objectives.
  • Facilitate goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual evaluations in coordination with department heads.
  • Identify training needs and design capacity-building programs for performance improvement.
  • Maintain positive employee relations and handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in accordance with company policy and labor law.
  • Promote employee engagement, welfare, and motivation through various HR programs.
  • Support the factory HR team in workforce management and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with Labor Act, Social Security Fund (SSF), Tax, Insurance, and other statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with government and regulatory bodies on HR and labor issues.
  • Maintain confidential employee records, attendance, leave management, and payroll coordination.
  • Design and deliver training programs on leadership, teamwork, safety, and company policies.
  • Develop internal succession planning and career development frameworks.
  • Strengthen leadership culture and ethical values across all departments.
  • Manage HR information systems and databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare periodic HR reports (staffing, turnover, training, performance, etc.) for the CFO and MD.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
Job Specification
  • Education: Master’s degree in Management, Human Resource Management, or relevant discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HR management roles, preferably in trading, manufacturing, or corporate environments.
  • Languages: Excellent command of English, Nepali, and Hindi.
  • Computer Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office, HR software, and database management systems.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Nepalese Labor Law and other relevant employment legislations.
  • Competencies: Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, High ethical standards and confidentiality, Strategic thinking with problem-solving ability, Effective time and conflict management, Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
