The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth execution of daily accounting operations. The role involves recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and verifying accounting documents, and performing bank reconciliations. The Accountant will assist in tax compliance, financial reporting, audit coordination, and month-end and year-end closing activities. Additionally, the position requires maintaining inventory and fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and providing timely financial information to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, verify, and maintain vouchers, invoices, bills, and other accounting documents.
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Perform bank reconciliations and verify ledger balances regularly.
- Assist in VAT, TDS, and other tax-related calculations, documentation, and filings.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records and supporting documents.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and management accounts.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial information during audits.
- Maintain inventory records and fixed asset registers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by management.
