Position: Jr. Software Engineer (Progress OpenEdge) (Recent Job)

is seeking Jr. Software Engineer ready to make a long-term commitment to an excellent career in Nepal. You will work as part of our world class outsourcing team developing desktop and web applications for international customers with the Progress OpenEdge platform and Javra’s own tool X/E files.  We will provide structured training in Progress OpenEdge and X/E Files.

•         Work cooperatively in a project-focused software development team.
•         Programming using Progress 4GL, ABL and X/E files.
•         Database development with Progress Database.
•         Write technical and user documentation.
•         Software testing.
•         Code reviews.

•        Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
•        Experience and knowledge in other platforms will be plus point.

•        Computers are your passion (not just your profession)
•        Confident to communicate in written and spoken English.
•        Motivated, innovative and ready to take responsibility and initiative in your work.
•        Analytical ability with logical reasoning and problem solving skill.
•        Strong knowledge of Relational Database and SQL
•       You focus on writing reusable, reliable and readable code.

•       Any professional programming experience
•       Web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Ajax
•       Experience with tools such as UML, Visio, SVN, Git, etc
•       Agile software development methodology such as Scrum
