Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Production Manager with a strong background in ice‑cream or food manufacturing who can lead production teams with confidence and precision. The ideal candidate will be passionate about operational excellence, quality improvement, and continuous performance enhancement. You should be organized, analytical, and adaptable, ready to drive production goals while ensuring the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise the full production cycle, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and specification standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand and maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with inventory, procurement, and supply teams to ensure raw materials and packaging are available on time.
- Enforce SOPs related to CIP (Clean‑In‑Place), sanitation, and GMP to prevent cross‑contamination and ensure compliance.
- Lead, train, and evaluate production staff including recruitment, scheduling, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve output, reduce overrun variation, and minimize waste.
- Monitor key production KPIs including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield loss, mass balance, overrun consistency, safety rates, and cost performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and responsible individuals to schedule maintenance for freezers, tunnels, vats, and other production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure production processes comply with food safety regulations, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate production documentation, reports, and performance analysis.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years supervisory experience in ice‑cream or dairy/food manufacturing.
- Technical knowledge of specialized equipment, including freezers, tunnels, vats, fillers, and packaging machinery.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, resource allocation, quality assurance, and cost control.
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory and safety standards, ensuring the facility is always audit‑ready.
- Command presence with the ability to ensure strict adherence to GMPs, SOPs, and safety protocols.
- Ability to recognize Critical Control Points (CCPs) and implement corrective action.
- Proven performance management skills to drive KPIs including OEE, yield, overrun consistency, safety rate, and waste reduction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive problem‑solving approach.
