The Electrical Technician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and components in accordance with applicable standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics, troubleshooting electrical faults, and using diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently. The role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and documentation of work performed, as well as collaborating with engineers and other team members to support project execution and continuous improvement. The Electrical Technician will also help ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations, maintain a safe work environment, and provide clear communication on project status and technical findings.
Qualifications
- Technical skills in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, panels, and wiring, including safe use of tools and test instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and manuals, and apply them to diagnostics and system implementation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for identifying electrical faults, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards, local regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and best practices for working in industrial or commercial environments.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams on-site.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field; professional certifications in electrical trade are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an Electrical Technician or in a similar hands-on electrical role, preferably in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow structured processes, and readiness to work on-site in Kathmandu with a focus on safety and quality.
