About Biiyond

Biiyond is a Kathmandu-based post-production company serving creators, startups, and international brands worldwide. We turn raw footage and ideas into high-quality video through expert editing, motion graphics, AI-assisted production, and creative services - built on craft, reliability, and structured systems.

Role Purpose

The Video Editor Intern learns to craft live-action, emotionally engaging storytelling and explainer videos, growing over the internship into a wider range of editing styles, AI-assisted workflows, and foundational motion graphics — all while adapting to Biiyond's production system on real client work under supervision.

Roles & Responsibilities

Live-Action & Storytelling Editing (core focus)

  • Edit raw live-action footage into polished, emotionally engaging explainer and brand-story videos
  • Build pacing and structure that serves the story — shaping how a viewer feels through the edit, not just cutting clips together
  • Sync voiceover, music, and SFX to support emotional beats and narrative flow
  • Apply basic color correction and audio cleanup to keep footage client-ready

Growing Editing Range (progressive, over the internship)

  • Study and practice different edit styles beyond storytelling explainers (social cuts, ads, YouTube-style retention edits) as skills develop
  • Get introduced to AI-assisted editing and generation tools (e.g. Higgsfield, Heygen, ChatGPT, Elevenlabs, and more) as part of expanding editing range, working alongside Biiyond's AI-first production track
  • Take on a widening range of project types as competence grows, moving from guided/simple edits toward more independent, complex ones
  • Build a personal reel showing range across styles by the end of the internship — evidence for the full-time evaluation

Motion Graphics (introduced over time)

  • Learn foundational motion graphics — titles, lower thirds, simple transitions — as a secondary skill layered on top of editing fundamentals
  • Progress toward basic–intermediate After Effects work (text animation, simple 2D elements) by later weeks
  • Contribute reusable motion assets/templates once comfortable

Workflow & Team Collaboration

  • Learn and follow Biiyond's production system end-to-end (briefs, file structure, naming discipline, ClickUp-first communication)
  • Perform internal self-QC before handing off drafts
  • Apply revision notes accurately and without repeating mistakes
  • Communicate progress and blockers clearly and early to the assigned Editor/PM
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Creative team on scope, references, and feedback
  • Organize and archive project files

What You'll Learn

Biiyond's end-to-end production system, live-action storytelling craft, a widening range of editing styles including AI-assisted workflows, foundational motion graphics, and a structured path to a full-time Editor role.
