Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Kathmandu. The Video Editor will work closely with the creative and production teams to edit raw footage into polished videos that align with client objectives and brand guidelines. Daily responsibilities include organizing and assembling footage, trimming and sequencing clips, adding transitions, audio, and visual effects, and preparing final deliverables in required formats. The role also involves basic color correction, collaborating on motion graphics elements, maintaining organized project files, and meeting production deadlines. The Video Editor is expected to participate in brainstorming sessions, provide creative input, and ensure consistency and quality across all video content.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, with experience handling end-to-end post-production workflows.
  • Ability in Video Color Grading to enhance visual tone, mood, and consistency across projects.
  • Competence in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create titles, lower thirds, and simple animated elements.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard editing and design tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or equivalent).
  • Attention to detail, strong sense of pacing and storytelling, and ability to follow brand and style guidelines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take feedback and work within deadlines.
  • Relevant experience in video editing for digital media, advertising, or social platforms; a portfolio or showreel is highly beneficial.
  • Diploma or degree in Film, Media, Design, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with strong demonstrable skills are encouraged to apply.
