JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Sales Officer – Eastern Region

Headquaters: Thapathali, Kathmandu

Territory: Eastern Nepal

Job Purpose

The Sales Officer – Eastern Region will be responsible for managing and developing dealer relationships, driving vehicle sales performance, monitoring dealer operations, and supporting dealer sales teams across the assigned territory. The position will be based at the Head Office in Kathmandu and will require frequent travel to the Eastern region for dealer visits, sales monitoring, training, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dealer Relationship & Territory Management

  • Maintain strong and professional relationships with assigned dealers and dealer principals.
  • Visit each assigned dealer at least once every month and conduct additional visits based on business requirements.
  • Monitor dealer activities, identify operational and sales-related issues, and coordinate with relevant internal departments for resolution.
  • Act as the primary point of coordination between the company and assigned dealers.
  • Gather dealer feedback and communicate market requirements, challenges, and opportunities to management.

2. Dealer Sales & Business Performance

  • Drive achievement of assigned regional and dealer-wise sales targets.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly dealer sales performance against targets.
  • Review model-wise, dealer-wise, and territory-wise sales performance and identify gaps.
  • Work with dealers to develop and implement action plans to improve sales performance.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, bookings, retail deliveries, and other relevant sales indicators.
  • Support dealers in improving lead follow-up, customer conversion, test drives, and overall sales effectiveness.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, promotions, and customer preferences within the assigned territory.

3. Dealer Operations

  • Monitor the overall functioning of assigned dealerships and ensure adherence to company standards and processes.
  • Review showroom sales processes, manpower deployment, customer handling, display standards, and reporting practices.
  • Identify operational gaps and coordinate with dealers and relevant internal departments for corrective actions.
  • Support dealers in implementing company schemes, campaigns, sales initiatives, and operational guidelines.
  • Monitor dealer inventory and coordinate with relevant departments regarding vehicle allocation and stock requirements.
  • Ensure timely submission and accuracy of dealer sales and operational reports.

4. Sales Team Training & Development

  • Assess the training and capability-development needs of dealer sales teams.
  • Conduct regular product, sales process, customer handling, and selling-skills training for dealer sales personnel.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and guidance during dealer visits.
  • Support the onboarding and orientation of newly appointed dealer sales staff.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training and provide feedback to management.
  • Share best practices and successful sales approaches across dealers.

5. Market Development & Business Expansion

  • Conduct regular market visits to understand local market potential and customer demand.
  • Identify potential business opportunities, new markets, fleet customers, and other sales channels within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis and provide actionable market intelligence to management.
  • Support regional promotional activities, events, exhibitions, and dealer-level marketing initiatives.

6. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare and submit regular dealer visit, sales performance, market intelligence, and territory reports.
  • Provide timely updates on dealer performance, sales pipeline, market developments, and operational issues.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, After-Sales, and other relevant departments to address dealer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of dealer visits, action points, commitments, and follow-up status.
  • Escalate critical dealer, customer, operational, or sales issues to the reporting manager in a timely manner.

7. Customer & Dealer Support

  • Support dealers in resolving escalated customer concerns related to the vehicle sales process.
  • Monitor customer experience at dealer locations and identify areas requiring improvement.
  • Ensure dealer teams maintain professional customer-handling and sales practices.
  • Follow up on unresolved issues and coordinate with relevant departments until appropriate closure.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years plus of experience in automotive sales, dealer management, territory sales, channel sales, or a related field.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel frequently across Eastern Nepal, including overnight travel when required.
  • Valid two-wheeler/four-wheeler driving license and ability to travel independently.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on business and dealer requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional conduct.
