Job Description

Hulas Infra Ltd is a business unit under Hulas Group which is an integrated steel and infrastructure manufacturer based at Birgunj, Parsa. Through Hulas Infra Limited and Hulas Iron Industries the group runs a wide spread of manufacturing lines, from engineer-to-order pre-engineered buildings through continuous processes such as galvanizing and wire drawing. We are implementing SAP Business One across production and inventory, and we are building the planning and stock-control function to run it properly.

To own production planning and inventory control across the group’s manufacturing divisions, and to make the SAP Business One production and inventory modules work as designed — accurate stock, traceable material, and a cost per job that management can rely on.

This is a build role, not a caretaker role. The system design, warehouse structure and control framework are drafted. The person appointed will finalise them, take them live, and hold the discipline once they are live.

Production planning and control

•    Convert the order book into a stage-wise production plan across the built-up, cold-formed, galvanizing and wire lines

•    Own the bill of materials structure — one BOM per stage, with wastage norms and by-product handling

•    Raise and sequence production orders; monitor achievement against release and yield against material issued

•    Drive the MRP run and convert recommendations into purchase and production orders

•    Report daily achievement, yield, scrap and rejection against norm

Inventory control

•    Own stock accuracy — target 99.5% or better, book against physical, by value

•    Run the cycle count programme and the monthly reconciliation, investigating every variance to root cause

•    Maintain stage-wise work-in-progress visibility across all WIP warehouses

•    Control batch traceability from mill test certificate to erected member

•    Manage non-moving and slow-moving stock, and scrap accountability

SAP Business One ownership

•    Own item master, bill of materials and warehouse master data standards, and enforce them

•    Ensure every stock and production movement is documented, checked and entered within the shift

•    Maintain the separation of maker and checker across the team — this is non-negotiable and is audited

•    Work with the implementation partner on configuration, authorisations and reporting

Team and governance

•    Lead, train and build the planning, stores and ERP entry team

•    Hold the daily and monthly reporting rhythm with production, quality and finance

•    Escalate honestly and early when a control cannot be met

•    Production planning in a make-to-order fabrication environment — where every contract carries its own drawings, bills of materials and item codes. This is the core of the role.

•    Hands-on ERP experience, preferably SAP Business One. You should be able to explain what a production order release does, what an issue for production posts, and why a goods issue cannot be edited once added.

•    Accountability for stock accuracy against a physical count, with responsibility for explaining variance — not merely receiving the report.

•    Steel or heavy fabrication background — PEB, structural steel, galvanizing, cold-formed sections, poles, pipes or wire.

•    Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering, or a diploma with commensurate depth of experience

•    Willingness to be based at the plant in Birgunj

•    Exposure across more than one of the divisions listed above — the more of them, the stronger the fit

•    Having taken an ERP live, or run a parallel run against a manual system

•    Stage-wise WIP costing and project-wise job costing

•    Working knowledge of batch and heat-number traceability in structural steel

You will lead the planning and stores team and own the numbers. You will not be the checker on documents your own team enters, and the verification and approval role reports independently to the CEO of Hulas Group. We run a maker-checker system deliberately, and we are looking for someone who understands that it protects him as much as it protects the company.
