Key tasks include recording and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, updating ledgers, and assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. The role involves working with accounting software to process invoices, payments, receipts, and payroll-related data, ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant regulations. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with accountants and advisors to provide reliable financial data, respond to queries, and support client reporting needs. The position requires strong attention to detail, timely completion of tasks, and effective communication with team members and clients.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Bookkeeping and Journal Entries (Accounting), with a solid understanding of double-entry accounting.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Hands-on experience with Accounting Software and basic Finance concepts relevant to small and medium-sized businesses.
- Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple records and deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
- Familiarity with local accounting standards and tax regulations is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a public accounting firm or similar professional services environment is a plus.
