Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Alignment: Develop and execute annual training roadmaps integrated with business KPIs, workforce analytics, and organizational development goals.
- Curriculum Design & Delivery: Architect and deliver high-impact, multi-modal (instructor-led, e-learning, VR/AR, blended) training programs—including technical product training, sales enablement, service excellence, compliance (e.g., safety, quality), and leadership development—for diverse roles (engineers, technicians, sales reps, managers).
- Needs Assessment & Gap Analysis: Conduct comprehensive training needs analyses (TNA) using performance data, skill matrices, employee feedback, and business challenges to identify and prioritize skill gaps across departments and levels.
- Performance Measurement & Optimization: Evaluate training ROI using Kirkpatrick & Phillips models—tracking reaction, learning, behavior change, and business impact (e.g., reduced defects, faster onboarding, increased productivity).
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor and develop L&D professionals; partner with HR, operations, engineering, and sales leadership to embed learning into performance workflows and culture.
- Learning Ecosystem Management: Oversee LMS administration, content repository, certification tracking, compliance documentation, and knowledge management systems to ensure accessibility and scalability.
- Industry Intelligence & Innovation: Monitor advancements in automotive trends (e.g., electrification, sustainability, Industry 4.0), learning technologies (AI-powered LMS, microlearning, immersive tech), and regulatory changes to future-proof training content.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Training, Organizational Development, or a related field; certifications such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning & Performance), ATD PDP, or Agile/Scrum (CSM, PSM) are highly valued.
- Experience: 8+ years in corporate training, talent development, or learning & development, with minimum 5 years in the automotive industry.
- Technical & Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of automotive systems (ICE, EV, hybrid), manufacturing processes (assembly, painting, stamping), quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001), and compliance requirements. Familiarity with CAD/CAM, diagnostic tools, and telematics platforms is a plus.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management, presentation, and facilitation skills; ability to influence senior leaders and translate business strategy into learning solutions. Experience managing cross-functional teams and vendors.
