The counselor will guide prospective students and their families through the process of selecting appropriate courses, institutions, and study destinations, considering academic background, financial resources, and career aspirations. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining admission and visa requirements, assisting with application forms and documentation, and maintaining accurate student records. The role also involves liaising with international universities and partners, participating in events and seminars, and staying updated on changing admission policies, scholarships, and immigration regulations. The counselor will collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth service delivery and contribute to achieving enrollment targets.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to assess student needs and recommend suitable international study options.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confident presentation abilities and professional email and phone etiquette.
- Organizational and administrative skills, with experience in managing documentation, maintaining records, and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of higher education systems and admission processes for countries such as Canada, the UK, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in Nepali and/or other regional languages is an advantage.
- Comfort with basic computer applications, CRM or student management systems, and online research.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in educational counseling, overseas education, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work ethically, maintain confidentiality, and build trust with students and families.
