Job Description

We are seeking an engaging Lecturer/Tutor to deliver the Concepts and Technologies of AI. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in mathematics for Machine Learning, hands-on Python programming skills, and a commitment to helping undergraduate students understand essential facts, principles, and theories in AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Facilitation: Conduct lectures, tutorials, and hands-on workshops.
Practical Mentorship: Guide students through interactive programming exercises using Python tools such as Google Colab, Jupyter Notebooks, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Pillow.
Core Curriculum Delivery: Teach fundamental topics including Descriptive Statistics, Probability Theory, Discrete/Continuous Distributions, Linear Algebra, Dimensionality Reduction (PCA), and Supervised Learning (Linear & Logistic Regression).
Assessment & Marking

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Python programming for AI/ML.
Mastery of core mathematical libraries: NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
Solid understanding of foundational mathematical concepts for AI:
Descriptive Statistics and Probability Theory.
Linear Algebra (Vectors, Matrices, Eigen Decomposition, PCA implementation from scratch).
Hands-on experience building foundational Machine Learning models (Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Gradient Descent) from scratch.

Teaching & Soft Skills

Strong ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into accessible tutorials and practical workshops.
Awareness of ethical and moral frameworks surrounding Artificial Intelligence.
Previous higher education teaching, tutoring, or lab-assisting experience is strongly preferred.
