Role Description The Outbound Tour Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing outbound tour packages from Nepal to regional and international destinations. This contract, on-site role based in Kathmandu involves coordinating itineraries, liaising with airlines, hotels, and local tour operators, and ensuring all travel arrangements are accurate and timely. The role includes handling customer inquiries, advising clients on travel options, preparing quotations, and confirming bookings. The Outbound Tour Manager will oversee pre-departure communication, manage any changes or issues during tours, and ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the travel experience. Day-to-day activities also include maintaining tour documentation, monitoring costs, and collaborating with colleagues to improve tour products and promotional offers.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to provide professional and personalized travel advice.
  • Experience in tour management or travel agency operations, including itinerary planning, bookings, and vendor coordination.
  • Solid organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tours, deadlines, and last-minute changes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Nepali and/or other regional languages is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of international travel processes, including visas, ticketing, and travel regulations.
  • Comfort with basic computer applications and travel booking systems; exposure to GDS or similar platforms is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu, collaborate with a diverse team, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant experience in tourism, hospitality, or travel; a diploma or degree in Travel, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
