Job Summary:

We are seeking a AI/ML Engineer with a strong focus on backend development, data engineering, and AI/ML systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working close to data—building robust APIs, designing scalable data models, integrating AI-powered outputs into production systems, and developing AI-driven applications. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a data-heavy and AI-driven environment using platforms such as PostgreSQL, Python-based backend frameworks like FastAPI, and cloud deployment on Amazon AWS.

Job Description:

As a AI/ML Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services, data platforms, AI/ML pipelines, and supporting web applications. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, ML engineers, AI engineers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems that power analytics, AI, and ML-enabled use cases.

Job Specification:

• Design efficient and scalable data models for transactional, analytical, and AI/ML workloads
• Develop and maintain AI/ML pipelines, integrating model outputs into backend services and applications
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to support AI/ML applications
• Integrate AI/ML tools, including agentic frameworks such as Agno or LangChain, into backend services and applications
• Build and enhance web applications that consume backend APIs and AI-driven data products, with minimal frontend requirements
• Deploy, manage, and monitor AI/ML applications and data services on cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS or equivalent
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business, data, and AI requirements into technical solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code, with proper documentation
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills and Expertise:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Experience

• 3 years of experience in relevant role
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade AI/ML pipelines, backend systems, or data platforms
• Practical experience with relational databases, SQL, and data modeling
• Experience integrating AI/ML outputs into production applications
• Experience with agentic frameworks and AI-enabled web applications such as Agno or LangChain is highly preferred

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in backend development using frameworks suitable for AI/ML services (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of relational databases including SQL design, indexing, and query optimization
• Experience integrating AI/ML services, outputs, or large language models (LLMs) into applications
• Experience developing web applications that consume backend APIs and AI services
• Understanding of scalable system architecture, performance optimization, and distributed data processing
• Experience with agentic frameworks such as Agno or LangChain for AI-driven applications
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and vector databases for enhancing LLM performance

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with US healthcare clients or healthcare data
• Additional experience in data engineering, analytics platforms, or AI pipelines
• Exposure to cloud-based AI workflows and AI application frameworks
