About the Role:

Shree Chemicals is looking for a Techno-Commercial Officer to support and grow our Pharmaceutical Ingredients business in Nepal.

The role will be responsible for developing business for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), Excipients and other Pharmaceutical Additives while maintaining strong relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, procurement teams, formulation/R&D teams and other key stakeholders.

This is a customer-facing role requiring a combination of technical product knowledge, commercial understanding and B2B sales capability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales and business development for Pharmaceutical APIs, Excipients and other additives across pharmaceutical manufacturers in Nepal.
  • Regularly visit pharmaceutical companies and engage with Purchase, R&D/Formulation, Production, QA/QC and Management teams.
  • Identify new business opportunities through new products, customers and applications.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Understand customer requirements and coordinate product samples, technical documentation, quotations, trials and product approvals.
  • Follow up on samples and trials with technical and commercial teams to convert opportunities into regular business.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle — lead generation, technical discussions, sampling, quotation, negotiation, order conversion and follow-up.
  • Gather market intelligence on customer demand, competitor products, pricing, upcoming formulations and industry trends.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports, customer visit reports, opportunity pipelines and forecasts.
  • Support the development and introduction of new pharmaceutical ingredients and suppliers in the Nepal market.
  • Represent Shree Chemicals professionally during customer meetings, supplier interactions and industry events.
Candidate Profile:Education
  • Minimum Qualification: B.Tech / Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Candidates from Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or related disciplines will be preferred.
  • Additional qualifications in Sales, Marketing or Business Management will be an advantage.
Experience
  • Prior working experience with pharmaceutical companies in Nepal is a must.
  • Experience in B2B Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Procurement, Product Management or Techno-Commercial roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Existing exposure to APIs, Excipients, Pharmaceutical Additives or Pharmaceutical Raw Materials is a must.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturers and the pharmaceutical ecosystem in Nepal will be an advantage.


Required Skills
  • Good understanding of Pharmaceutical APIs, Excipients and formulation additives.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to confidently interact with technical as well as commercial stakeholders.
  • Relationship-building mindset with a willingness to undertake regular customer visits across Nepal.
  • Ability to independently manage customer accounts and follow up consistently on business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and email communication.
  • Self-driven, disciplined and target-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.

They should be able to understand a customer's technical requirement, identify the appropriate product or solution, coordinate technical approvals and ultimately convert the opportunity into sustainable commercial business.
