Job Description
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into high-quality videos for social media, advertisements, events, corporate content, YouTube, reels, and other digital platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong editing skills, a good sense of storytelling, creativity, and the ability to deliver engaging video content on time.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Edit raw video footage into polished, professional, and engaging videos.
- Create videos for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Add music, sound effects, subtitles, transitions, motion graphics, and visual effects where required.
- Understand the content requirement and edit videos according to brand guidelines and project objectives.
- Work closely with the content, marketing, design, and production teams to create effective video content.
- Trim footage, arrange clips, and ensure smooth storytelling and proper video flow.
- Improve video quality through color correction, audio balancing, lighting adjustment, and stabilization.
- Create short-form content such as reels, shorts, teasers, promotional videos, and event highlights.
- Manage and organize video files, project files, footage, audio, graphics, and final exports.
- Ensure videos are delivered in the correct format, resolution, and size for different platforms.
- Review and revise videos based on feedback from the team or client.
- Stay updated with current video editing trends, social media formats, and creative styles.
- Maintain consistency in video quality, branding, and visual presentation.
- Meet deadlines and handle multiple video editing projects at the same time.
Tools Requirements:
- Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools such as Adobe After Effects, CapCut, Canva, Blender, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva for creating thumbnails, titles, banners, and visual assets.
- Ability to use audio editing tools for noise reduction, voice enhancement, background music adjustment, and sound balancing.
- Knowledge of subtitle/caption tools and ability to create accurate subtitles for videos.
- Ability to export videos in different formats and resolutions suitable for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and websites.
- Familiarity with AI-based video editing tools, auto-caption tools, and content repurposing tools will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of Motion Videos and Animation:
- Ability to create simple motion videos, animated text, logo animations, lower thirds, intros, outros, and promotional graphics.
- Knowledge of motion graphics principles such as timing, spacing, transitions, movement, composition, and visual flow.
- Ability to create engaging reels, shorts, explainer videos, product videos, event highlights, and promotional motion videos.
- Experience in adding animated elements, icons, shapes, text effects, and visual transitions to improve video engagement.
- Ability to create smooth transitions, kinetic typography, animated captions, and social media-friendly motion content.
- Understanding of brand consistency while using colors, fonts, logo placement, and animation styles.
- Ability to combine video footage, images, graphics, music, and animation to create professional and visually appealing content.
