Role Description The Mid-level Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling raw footage into polished, engaging video content that aligns with client goals and brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include selecting and cutting clips, adding transitions, music, and sound effects, color correction, and basic motion graphics as needed. The role involves collaborating with creative directors, scriptwriters, and designers to refine concepts, maintain visual consistency, and meet project timelines. The Video Editor will also organize and manage media assets, prepare versions for different platforms, and incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) and familiarity with basic motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
  • Skills in storytelling, visual composition, pacing, and sound design to create compelling video narratives.
  • Experience with color correction, audio clean-up, and exporting optimized formats for web and social media platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional creative teams, interpret briefs, and incorporate constructive feedback efficiently.
  • Solid organizational skills for managing media files, project timelines, and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Previous experience as a video editor or similar role, ideally at an agency or in a creative production environment.
  • Knowledge of social media content standards and best practices for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu and maintain consistent working hours in a full-time position.
