Position: Sherpa Language ExpertType: Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Transcribe video content in the Sherpa language with precise alignment to timestamps.
- Analyze and describe the emotionality of speakers, capturing nuances in tone and intent.
- Edit, review, and refine transcription outputs for linguistic and grammatical accuracy.
- Investigate and define the conceptual meaning of Sherpa terms and expressions.
- Assess and document grammar, vocabulary usage, and syntactic structures.
- Perform contextual translation, semantic evaluation, and tone analysis.
- Fluency in both Sherpa and English, with proficiency in written and spoken communication.
- Experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic analysis, especially with video or audio content.
- Skilled in capturing and articulating emotional context, speaker intent, and cultural nuances.
- Background in language research, editing, or advanced linguistic studies is highly desirable.
- Ability to critically assess grammar, tone, and conceptual aspects of language use.
