Role Overview
As a Marketing Strategist, you will own the planning and execution of growth-focused marketing initiatives for Briz. You will develop integrated marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, merchant growth, user activation, engagement, retention, and brand awareness.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and analytical decision-making. You will work closely with product, growth, content, design, CRM, and performance marketing teams to build and optimize campaigns that accelerate Briz’s expansion across Nepal and future markets.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies to drive awareness, acquisition, activation, retention, and referrals.
- Build growth strategies for both sides of the Briz marketplace, increasing customer demand while supporting merchant acquisition and engagement.
- Plan and manage integrated campaigns across digital, social media, CRM, content, partnerships, and offline channels.
- Lead lifecycle marketing initiatives, including push notifications, in-app messaging, and re-engagement programs.
- Design and optimize referral programs, promotional campaigns, and seasonal marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the performance marketing team to align paid campaigns with broader business objectives.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to uncover growth opportunities.
- Analyze campaign performance, user behavior, and funnel metrics to continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
- Work closely with product and design teams to enhance onboarding journeys and improve user activation and retention.
- Coordinate with content creators and social media teams to ensure messaging is consistent, localized, and aligned with the Briz brand.
- Identify strategic partnerships and community marketing opportunities to strengthen local presence.
- Define marketing KPIs, prepare performance reports, and present actionable insights to leadership.
- Stay updated on industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging marketing technologies to keep Briz ahead of the competition.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing strategy, growth marketing, CRM, product marketing, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of planning and executing campaigns that deliver measurable business results.
- Strong understanding of the full marketing funnel, including acquisition, activation, retention, and customer lifecycle management.
- Experience with social media strategy, digital marketing, and integrated campaign planning.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to translate insights into effective marketing initiatives.
- Experience in startups, marketplaces, SaaS, e-commerce, or mobile-first products is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Nepalese market and consumer behavior is an advantage.
