Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a USA and NZ Counsellor, located in Kathmandu. The Counsellor will provide guidance and support to students seeking to study in the USA and New Zealand. Daily responsibilities include conducting student assessments, providing application guidance, ensuring proper documentation, and offering personalized counseling on courses, universities, and visa requirements. The role also involves coordinating with international partner institutions and staying updated on education trends and policies.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in this field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for counseling and guiding students effectively
- Knowledge of the USA and New Zealand education systems, including application procedures and visa requirements
- Administrative skills, including documentation, record-keeping, and organizational capabilities
- Proficiency in research, data analysis, and providing tailored advice based on individual student needs
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in English and other languages is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Education, Counseling, or related disciplines preferred)
- Prior experience in education consulting or a related field is an asset
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus
