Job Description
Chaudhary Group (CG) is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Chief Financial Officer (Senior CFO) to lead and oversee the financial operations across its diverse business verticals in Nepal.As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Senior CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, governance, and performance of CG’s multi-sector businesses. This position requires a visionary finance leader with strong business acumen, capable of driving financial excellence, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted finance partner to Business Heads across assigned verticals
- Drive business strategy, expansion planning, and capital allocation decisions
- Deliver commercial insights to enhance profitability and ROI
- Cluster Financial Oversight
- Oversee end-to-end finance across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with Group standards
- Drive consolidation, performance tracking, and cross-business synergies
- Standardize financial processes while enabling business-specific agility
- Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Develop financial models for investments, new projects, and business cases
- Track performance and drive corrective actions across business units
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Strengthen financial controls and compliance frameworks across entities
- Manage audits, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation
- Uphold strong corporate governance standards
- Treasury & Fund Management
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and capital structure at a cluster level
- Lead fundraising initiatives, including debt structuring and banking relationships
- Optimize liquidity and capital deployment
- M&A and Growth Initiatives
- Evaluate and execute acquisitions, partnerships, and investments
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation, and post-merger integration
- Support expansion into new markets and business scaling
- Operational Excellence & Transformation
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency
- Lead finance transformation, systems implementation, and automation
- Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful reporting
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor finance teams across multiple units
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive outcomes
- Foster a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CFA, or equivalent
- 15–25+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles
- Proven track record in managing multi-business or multi-unit finance functions
- Experience across sectors such as FMCG, Real Estate, Hospitality, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, etc. preferred
- Strong exposure to M&A, fundraising, and large-scale operations
- International exposure and multi-geography experience is an advantage
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen with execution focus
- Ability to manage complexity across multiple businesses simultaneously
- High adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
