Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Tech Instructor based in Kathmandu. The Tech Instructor will lead interactive lessons in coding, robotics, and game development tailored to students' skill levels. Daily responsibilities include creating lesson plans, guiding students through projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and fostering a passion for technology and innovation. Collaboration with other educators and staff to enhance the learning experience is also a critical part of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in programming languages and concepts, including Python, and optionally block-based coding
- Ability to self-learn with limited guidance and teach technical subjects such as Robotics, Game Development, and AI fundamentals
- Excellent communication and instructional skills to engage children and simplify complex concepts
- Ability to plan, create, and execute educational lesson plans and projects
- Passion for technology, innovation, and inspiring young learners
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field desirable. Exceptional 3rd and final year students with excellent time management skills may be considered for the role as well.
- Prior experience in teaching or mentoring is highly desirable but not required
- Familiarity with educational tools and platforms such as Scratch, Blockly, or Roblox Studio is a plus
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
