Job Description
We are looking for a versatile wordsmith to bridge the gap between raw manuscript and polished publication. This individual ensures our content meets the highest standards of journalistic integrity and diplomatic nuance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sub-Editing: Structuring articles for flow, clarity, and tone; writing compelling headlines; and ensuring alignment with the magazine’s editorial voice.
- Copy Editing: Meticulous proofreading for grammar and style while fact-checking complex information related to foreign policy and international investment.
- Content Coordination: Managing the monthly production cycle for print and digital platforms in collaboration with the Editor.
- Proposal Writing: Drafting and refining formal proposals, concept notes, and applications for international organizations, diplomatic missions, and corporate partners to support the organization's special forums.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Journalism, English, International Relations, or Political Science.
- Experience: 2–4 years in an editorial role, preferably within a newsroom, international organization, or reputable magazine.
- Skills: Exceptional English command; deep understanding of the diplomatic landscape; ability to utilize the "Diplomat Nepal" digital platform under tight deadlines
