Role Objective
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our design and construction team. This role focuses primarily on producing high-quality technical drawings, schematic diagrams, and layouts for mechanical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection). The ideal candidate is a technical drafter who understands the engineering principles behind the drawings they create.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Drafting: Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, including ductwork layouts, piping diagrams, and equipment schedules.
The Junior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for transforming engineering concepts into precise technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. This involves developing detailed 2D layouts for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems while ensuring all designs strictly adhere to project specifications and local building codes. A key focus is maintaining high drafting accuracy and identifying technical inconsistencies early in the design phase to prevent errors during construction
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Drafting, with a strong foundation in mechanical systems and technical design principles. Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting is essential, and a working knowledge of Revit for BIM workflows—specifically creating families and managing drafting views—is highly preferred. A successful applicant will demonstrate a sharp eye for detail to ensure all drawings comply with local building codes and industry standards while maintaining a high level of accuracy in technical specifications.
