Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Counselor, located in Kathmandu. The Counselor will be responsible for providing guidance and support to clients, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, and helping individuals develop problem-solving and decision-making skills. The Counselor will create individualized plans, monitor progress, and maintain accurate and confidential records while providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to discuss their concerns.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and active listening skills to establish rapport with clients and understand their needs.
- Empathy, interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide emotional support to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in organizing and maintaining confidential client records.
- Capable of facilitating individual and group counseling sessions and creating tailored plans for clients.
- Critical thinking and assessment skills to identify underlying issues and propose solutions.
- Familiarity with ethical counseling practices and adherence to confidentiality standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a relevant field is preferred.
- Certification or licensure in counseling or related fields will be an added advantage.
