The Role

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and target-driven Market Manager for Nepal, to deliver strong growth to our full KIP ANZ portfolio.


The Market Manager will be very hands-on and responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service and business relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, supporting our partner agents across the region, generating new business while retaining existing business.


The Market Manager will have a strong understanding of student engagement and the international education sector, have excellent organisational skills and be a self-starter with experience working internationally across diverse markets, cultures, and economies.

The Market Manager will be responsible for achieving personal KPIs and supporting the team to achieve targets, both market-specific and partner-specific.


Please note: This position does not have the authority to legally bind Kaplan or its related entities in any circumstances, including in contractual matters, and must not enter into or conclude contracts, whether written or verbal, on behalf of Kaplan or its related entities. All contractual commitments must be referred to, and managed by, appropriately authorised personnel within Kaplan located in Australia, in accordance with relevant Kaplan company policy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Regional Director (Africa, Middle East, Central & South Asia) in implementing a multi-channel engagement strategy for Kaplan International Pathways ANZ across Nepal
  • Effectively inform agents on KIP ANZ study options, including course and destination information, career opportunities and application procedure
  • Delivering best-in-sector customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Regularly reporting on progress against KPIs, and providing regular market intelligence and competitor analysis
  • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Education Agents, Senior Management of our University Partners (UP’s), Regional KI colleagues, University Partner Regional Managers (RM’s) (or equivalent), Sponsorship bodies, and Industry bodies
  • Actively collaborate with KI ANZ businesses to identify collaborative opportunities for mutual benefit
  • Identifying engagement opportunities and barriers through discussion with KI ANZ and KI team members
  • Responding to all agent enquiries within 48 business hours
  • Assessing the ROI of participating in engagement fairs and events, prioritising high-value activities
  • Providing in-region support and market intelligence to the wider KI ANZ team and University Partners
  • Ensuring all stakeholders are given comprehensive training; engaging students in line with the Department of Home Affairs and Immigration New Zealand regulations, and having full and complete knowledge of all KIP ANZ products
  • Evaluating engagement and marketing activities in the region, and working within budget
  • Liaising with the Marketing team to develop market-specific collateral supporting engagement
  • Providing support on market-based projects set by the KIP ANZ Regional Director (Africa, Middle East, Central & South Asia)
  • Other projects/tasks as set by Senior Management in line with Regional priorities.
  • The role involves international travel of likely between 15-20 weeks per year throughout the region, including for agent exhibitions, open days, seminars, and meetings with sponsors, as well as Familiarisation tour opportunities.


Qualification and Skills


Essential

  • University-level education
  • Experience of international education agent relationship management
  • Extensive experience of international engagement or marketing; solid understanding of the Australia and New Zealand International Higher Education industry (incl. Government regulatory and compliance legislation framework)
  • Experience of travel in Nepal and throughout the region.
  • Results-orientated, ambitious, and highly self-motivated
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, who can engage confidently with a wide range of audiences and levels of organisational seniority
  • Strong grasp of marketing resources and how they can be used for different audiences
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities within tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in short timeframes, and to meet challenging targets
  • Willing to travel overseas independently and to work irregular hours as required


Desirable

  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Destination Australia and/or New Zealand (or relevant) work experience
