Role Overview:


The Head of Financial Accounting will lead the financial accounting function for Dogma Group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, automation, and financial discipline across the business. This role requires strong communication, cross‑departmental collaboration, and proactive oversight of cashflow, profitability, invoicing, and financial risk. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, analytical strength, and a continuous improvement mindset to modernize and automate manual finance processes.


Key responsibilities:



  1. Financial Accounting:


  • Oversee all financial accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Review and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Identify, rectify, and prevent accounting errors through rigorous controls and checks.
  • Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.


2. Cashflow, forecasting and liquidity management:


  • Oversee cashflow forecasting, working capital management, and liquidity monitoring.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and payables processing to maintain healthy cash cycles.
  • Develop proactive warnings for cashflow risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Analyse project‑wise profitability and recommend corrective actions.


3. Cross Functional Collaboration:


  • Follow up with Project Managers, Account Managers, Heads of Departments, and the CEO to ensure:
  • accurate revenue recognition
  • timely cost booking
  • sound cost‑to‑profit decisions
  • alignment between operational plans and financial performance
  • Communicate financial insights clearly to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.


4. Business Process Automation:

  • Identify manual finance processes that can be automated, streamlined, or digitized.
  • Drive automation initiatives (e.g., Business Central, financial workflows, dashboards).
  • Strengthen internal controls and documentation to enhance process reliability and efficiency.
  • Standardize finance procedures across the group.


5 Governance and leadership

  • Ensure strong internal controls for transactions, reporting, and approvals.
  • Maintain compliance with local and cross‑border financial regulations (UK & Nepal if applicable).
  • Oversee tax filings, VAT compliance, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting or controllership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, compliance, tax laws, and financial governance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify financial data for stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (Business Central experience is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with automation, process improvement, or digital transformation in finance.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in cross-border financial operations is an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to foresee risks and opportunities.
