The accountant will be responsible for managing factory level accounting operations, inventory tracking of consumables as well as maintaining the fixed assets, accounting of PET Waste materials, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and coordination with procurement and production teams. The role requires strong attention to detail and experience in manufacturing or recycling industry accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting
- Maintain complete books of accounts.
- Record daily transactions related to raw material procurement, processing and sales.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of vouchers and supporting documents.
Inventory & Stock Accounting
- Coordinate with production team for physical stock verification.
- Maintain records of raw materials, processed goods and finished goods.
- Conduct periodic physical stock reconciliation.
- Monitor raw material consumption, wastage, and production output.
- Support cost analysis and per unit production costing.
Procurement & Vendor Accounting
- Maintain vendor ledgers and ensure timely payment processing.
- Verify purchase bills, weighbridge slips, and goods receipt notes.
- Reconcile supplier accounts periodically.
Sales & Receivable
- Prepare sales invoices and delivery documentation.
- Maintain customer ledgers and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile customer accounts regularly.
Banking & Cash Handling
- Manage petty cash and daily cash transactions.
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements.
- Monitor factory level cash flow requirements.
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file VAT Returns,
- TDS calculation and filing.
- Ensure compliance with Inland Revenue Department regulations.
- Assist in audit documentation.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare monthly stock and financial reports for management.
- Coordinate with operations, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Support budgeting and budget vs. actual analysis
