Role: Lead Assessors & Technical Experts (Empanelment) Engagement Type: Contract / Assignment Basis Location: Assignments across Nepal (Remote options available for document review)

About the Opportunity The Nepal Accreditation Foundation (NAF) is the national authority responsible for recognizing the technical competence of Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs). We are expanding our assessor pool for the 2026-2028 cycle and invite expressions of interest from seasoned quality professionals to join our National and International Assessor Pool.

We are hiring experts for the following Accreditation Schemes:

Testing & Calibration Laboratories: ISO/IEC 17025:2017
Medical Laboratories: ISO 15189:2012 / ISO 15189:2022
Inspection Bodies: ISO/IEC 17020:2012
Certification Bodies: ISO/IEC 17021-1 (QMS, EMS, OHSMS, FSMS, ISMS) and ISO/IEC 17065
Validation & Verification: ISO/IEC 17029:2019

Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site and remote assessments of CABs against relevant ISO/IEC standards and NAF requirements.
Review management system documentation, technical SOPs, and uncertainty budgets.
Raise non-conformities (NCs) and review corrective actions.
Provide technical expertise in specific fields (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Microbiology, Pathology, Civil Engineering).

Essential Competence Criteria

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Master’s in Science/Medical field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in a technical/quality management role within a CAB.
Certification: Successful completion of a registered Lead Assessor Course (40 hours) for the relevant standard (e.g., ISO 17025, ISO 15189, ISO 9001).
Preferred: Prior empanelment with other Accreditation Bodies (e.g., NABL, NABCB, UKAS, A2LA) is highly desirable.
