Position: Business Development Executive

Location: Annapurna Chowk, Banasthali 

Reporting To: Company’s CEO

Role: Full-Time (Working in PST Timezone)


1. Position Overview


The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding Lama Freight’s customer base across LTL, FTL, PTL, and value-added freight services within the US market. The role focuses on lead generation, client acquisition, account management, and market expansion.


2. Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales


Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities


Generate leads through outbound outreach, inbound inquiries, referrals, and events


Present Lama Freight’s services to prospective clients


Prepare and negotiate pricing proposals in coordination with the operations team


Convert prospects into long-term customers


Client Relationship Management


Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, SMEs, and enterprise clients


Understand customer shipping requirements and recommend suitable freight solutions


Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients


Act as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts


Market Research & Strategy


Research industry trends, competitors, and customer needs


Identify new verticals and growth opportunities


Provide feedback to marketing and operations teams based on customer insights


Support go-to-market strategies and campaigns


Collaboration & Internal Coordination


Work closely with operations, customer support, and marketing teams


Coordinate with marketing on lead follow-ups and campaigns


Participate in trade fairs, networking events, and industry meetings


Maintain accurate records in CRM systems


Reporting & Performance Tracking


Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and conversions


Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports


Meet or exceed assigned revenue and growth targets


3. Deliverables


Consistent lead pipeline and opportunity tracking


New client acquisitions on a monthly and quarterly basis


Revenue growth from new and existing clients


Updated CRM records and activity logs


Market and customer insights reports


4. Required Qualifications & Skills


Education & Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field


2–5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development


Experience in freight, logistics, or supply chain is preferred


Skills & Competencies


Strong communication and negotiation skills


Ability to explain freight solutions clearly (LTL, FTL, PTL, etc.)


Results-driven with strong follow-up skills


Comfortable with CRM tools and sales reporting


Strong organizational and time management skills
