Position: Area Sales Manager (ASM)
Division: Cigarette Division
Location: Kathmandu
Reporting To: Director
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales volume, market share, and distribution in the assigned area.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as per company objectives.
- Appoint, manage, and coordinate with distributors and wholesalers.
- Lead, motivate, and monitor the performance of Sales Officers and field staff.
- Ensure effective execution of sales plans, trade schemes, and promotional activities.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor product availability, pricing, visibility, and competitor activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and trade guidelines related to cigarette sales.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, market feedback, and forecasts.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, finance, logistics) for smooth operations.
- Train and coach the sales team to improve productivity and market effectiveness.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG or cigarette/tobacco distribution.
- Proven experience in handling distributors and managing a sales team.
- Strong understanding of retail and wholesale market dynamics.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
