Job Description of IT Manager
- Oversee daily IT operations ensuring network/system uptime.
- Lead infrastructure deployment: switches, routers (Mikrotik), servers (Linux/Radius), cloud.
- Ensure cybersecurity standards and supervise cybersecurity team.
- Handle escalations and critical support personally.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and documentation.
- Align IT strategy with organizational goals.
A. Must-Have Requirements:
1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or Business Administration with IT specialization. Relevant professional certifications are required or strongly preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in an IT-related role.
3. Technical & Functional Skills
- Networking: Firewall (Fortinet), Mikrotik Router (certification is a plus).
- Server Admin: Radius Server, Linux Server (certification is a plus).
- Cloud Storage: Familiarity with cloud-based storage and backup solutions.
- Desktop/Workstation: Hands-on support for user-end systems and software.
4. Location: Must reside within 5 km radius of Sagar Group’s Corporate Office.
5. Mobility: Valid driving license (Category A/B/K) or access to a two-wheeler.
6. Soft Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Leadership in hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Learning mindset to stay updated with technological trends.
7. Departmental Leadership
- Must independently lead the IT Department including the Cybersecurity Team.
- Full responsibility for both technical operations and strategic reporting.
- Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson (with 27–30 years’ experience) will offer coaching and strategic insights but not intervene in daily execution.
B. Should-Have Requirements:
1. Project Management: Capable of managing timelines, deliverables, and coordination of IT projects.
2. Vendor Management: Experience handling ISPs and technology vendors.
3. Cross-Department Collaboration: Able to work efficiently with HR, Finance, Operations, and other teams for tech
needs.
4. Key Responsibilities Linked
- Collaborate across departments to align systems with business needs.
- Lead IT budgeting and planning processes.
- Maintain hardware/software inventory, licensing, and vendor contracts.
C. Nice-to-Have Requirements:
1. Higher Education: Master’s degree in IT or a related discipline.
2. Change Management: Experience with leading digital transitions and managing user adaptation.
3. Learning Attitude: Demonstrates ongoing self-learning, especially through AI tools or tech platforms.
