Note: This role is open for recruitment in both Nepal (Alaya) and Australia (Home Loan Experts). Candidates will be hired based on local market needs, and the role will be based in their respective countries.

About The Role

At Alaya, the Social Media Manager will lead our digital presence across platforms, developing and executing strategies that drive engagement, build brand loyalty, and generate leads. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves creating content with purpose, wants to work at the heart of brand storytelling, and can strategically guide our social media voice and presence.

You’ll work closely with our marketing, design, content, and data teams to ensure consistent messaging across platforms while keeping our content sharp, relevant, and engaging.

Major Deliverables

• Own and execute the social media strategy aligned with marketing goals and lead gen funnels
• Build and maintain monthly content calendars and publishing workflows
• Create high-performing content across platforms (videos, reels, carousels, visuals)
• Run platform-specific experiments (A/B tests, CTAs, formats) to improve performance
• Launch and optimize paid campaigns across Meta and other platforms
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, content, and digital marketing
• Respond to community queries and moderate engagement
• Use analytics tools to report performance and adjust strategy accordingly
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in tools like Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite
• Graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Suite
• Video editing tools such as CapCut or Premiere
• Deep knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platforms
• Strong command of storytelling, captioning, and copywriting
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years in social media management (agency or multi-brand experience preferred)
• Bachelor’s in Marketing, Media, Communications, or a related field
• Proven success in building digital engagement and community growth, with a portfolio showcasing a record of winning through successful campaigns, significant brand growth, and or achieving ambitious goals. Be prepared to discuss the obstacles you overcame.
• Demonstrated ownership, creativity, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision and high accountability
• Ability to think strategically while delivering hands-on execution
• Strong understanding of content hooks, timing, and platform nuances
• A demonstrable growth mindset with a history of self-initiated learning to stay ahead in the fast-evolving social media field

Work hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (non-negotiable), including a 1-hour lunch break

Please note that our office premises are open, so we will be delighted to work with you in a physical setup if you get hired!
