Job Description
The IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the technology infrastructure within the college.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Maintain a help desk system, tracking and resolving IT-related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain computer labs, lecture halls, seminar rooms, and tutor classes to ensure optimal functionality of IT equipment and facilities.
- Prepare regular reports on IT activities, including network performance, equipment inventory, and support ticket metrics, for review by the IT Manager.
- Help with the setup and configuration of new devices and technology for classrooms, offices, and public spaces.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and network management.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, and Linux).
- Basic understanding of IT security principles and practices.
