Job Description

The Marketing Officer is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing marketing strategies. S/he will oversee marketing initiatives, supervise associates, and ensure campaigns are aligned with company goals while coordinating closely with the Executive Operations Assistant. The ideal candidate takes initiative, is proactive, and demonstrates a strong ability to learn and adapt.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Assist Executive Operations Assistant in developing the brand as well as marketing strategies including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision, and value proposition for short as well as long term.
  • Plan and executedigital marketing, update database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Plan, coordinate, and overseecampaigns across digitaland offline channels.
  • Supervise MarketingAssociate(s) in executingcampaigns.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the company's social media strategy and maximize profile across all activities. Maintain social media presence.
  • Promote the correct and consistent use of the company’s brand both internally and externallythrough digital channels.
  • Write, edit andproofread marketing materialfor use in differentchannels.
  • Measure and report timely on the performance of all ongoing as well as completed marketing campaigns
  • Undertake market research and establish the best way to reach target groups.
  • Analyse the impact of marketingcampaigns and preparemeasurement reports.
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer market behaviour, and competitors’activities.
  • Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities.
  • Track product distribution and consumer reactions.
  • Maintain strong communication between core team and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with vendors and partners to ensure successful execution and demonstration of campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Executive Operations Assistant and Founder in preparing budgetsand monitoring expenses.
  • Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

 

 

Job Specification

Task Related

  • Bachelor's degreein marketing, BusinessAdministration, or relatedfield is preferred.
  • 2+ years of proven work experience in marketing roles.
  • Familiarity with simple marketing tools: social mediascheduling platforms, email marketing tools, Canva, Google Analytics, basic CRM systems.

Competencies and Soft Skills

  • Experience leadingand managing social media and digital marketingcampaigns.
  • Highly creative with ability to identify target audiences and devise engaging campaigns.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written, verbal,and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to forge and maintainrelationships.
  • Available to attend events and work flexibly, sometimesoutside regular working hours.
