Job Description

Kankai Rubber Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant / Finance Officer to manage the company’s financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, and support management in making sound financial decisions. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and oversee daily accounting and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Accounting

  • Maintain and update all financial records, ledgers, and statements accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including journal entries, billing, receipts, and payments.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and verify account balances for accuracy.
  • Manage petty cash and oversee daily financial activities within the organization.
  • Prepare and process staff payroll, ensuring timely disbursement.
  • Able to handle import-related documents.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with Nepal’s accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare and file VAT, TDS, and tax returns in coordination with auditors or consultants.
  • Assist during financial audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of invoices, vouchers, and other financial documents for transparency and accountability.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with banks, vendors, and clients for financial transactions and settlements.
  • Liaise with management to provide financial insights, cost analysis, and budget recommendations.
  • Support management in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate expense reporting and cost control.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist in procurement and inventory management from a financial perspective.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure secure record-keeping.
  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen financial controls and operational efficiency.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
  • Strong knowledge of Nepal Accounting Standards (NAS), VAT, TDS, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP, or Finpro) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
