Job Description
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors for raw materials (e.g., clinker, gypsum, additives), spare parts, and other goods.
- Obtain and compare quotations, prepare cost analysis, and ensure procurement is done at the best price, quality, and delivery terms.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Coordinate with the production, maintenance, and finance departments to understand requirements and ensure timely supply of materials.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Ensure all procurement activities align with legal, ethical, and company standards.
- Track deliveries and resolve any issues related to quality, quantity, or delays.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and vendor development programs.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the manufacturing or cement industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Advance Excel and ERP software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
