Job Description
The Admin & Communication Assistant will support the school’s administrative operations and handle internal and external communications. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to ensure smooth daily workflow and effective engagement with students, parents, staff, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including documentation, filing, and record keeping.
- Assist in maintaining student databases, attendance records, and staff information.
- Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Support in organizing school events, meetings, orientations, and examinations.
- Handle front-desk duties when required, including welcoming visitors and responding to inquiries.
- Prepare reports, notices, letters, and official correspondences as assigned.
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as a communication link between the school, parents, and external stakeholders.
- Draft, edit, and circulate notices, announcements, newsletters, and digital communication.
- Respond professionally to phone calls, emails, and messages related to school activities.
- Assist in managing the school’s social media pages and official communication channels.
- Coordinate with teachers, department heads, and management regarding information dissemination.
Operational & Support Tasks
- Assist in procurement of office supplies and maintain required inventories.
- Support in preparing schedules, calendars, and meeting agendas.
- Ensure proper documentation of meetings, minutes, and follow-up actions.
- Support admission-related activities, inquiries, and follow-ups during admission season.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Education, Communication, or a related field.
- Prior experience in administrative or communication roles (experience in schools preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email handling.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced academic environment.
- Pleasant personality with customer-service orientation.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in school administration or education sector.
- Ability to work in a team and maintain confidentiality.
