Recovery isn't just about chasing payments. It's about strategy, people, and protecting the health of a loan book. We're looking for two experienced recovery professionals to lead that work at Neofin.

Neofin Hire Purchase is a Nepal Rastra Bank-regulated financial institution that helps people across Nepal finance mobile phones, vehicles, and more. As our portfolio grows, we need strong leaders to keep it healthy.

What you'll do

  • Lead, guide, and motivate a team of recovery officers across phone-based and field collections
  • Allocate accounts and manage the team's daily workload by bucket (DPD), product, and region
  • Build recovery strategies for mobile phone and four-wheeler portfolios to reduce overdues and NPAs
  • Personally handle high-value, complex, and escalated accounts
  • Work closely with the Business team to address early delinquency and flag risky sourcing patterns
  • Coordinate with the Legal team on notices, legal cases, and court proceedings
  • Oversee vehicle repossession, storage, and disposal, making sure every step follows proper process
  • Review and recommend settlement, rescheduling, or restructuring proposals within approved policy
  • Track team performance daily and prepare recovery MIS and reports for management
  • Train and coach the team on negotiation, communication, and ethical collection practices
  • Make sure all recovery activity follows NRB directives and company policy, with no harassment or unfair practices

  • Strong negotiator who stays composed in tough conversations with customers, guarantors, and dealers
  • Sharp with numbers, comfortable reading portfolio data and spotting trends early
  • Clear communicator who can work across departments and get things moving
  • Firm, fair, and ethical in the way you work
  • Comfortable with regular field visits, including outside the valley when needed
Job Specification
  • Bachelor's degree in management, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in recovery or collections at a bank or financial institution, with at least 2 years leading a team
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle loan recovery and repossession;
  • Good knowledge of NRB directives, recovery-related laws, and legal procedures for loan recovery
  • Proficient in MS Excel and comfortable working with loan management or collection systems
  • Fluent in Nepali and good working English
  • Own two-wheeler with a valid license
