Production Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee Crusher, Batching, and Asphalt operations for the Kathmandu Terai Fast Track Project. The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all production activities related to crushing, batching of materials, and asphalt production to ensure efficient operation and compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule production activities for crushing, batching, and asphalt operations to meet project timelines and production targets.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and supplies needed for production.
• Supervise and manage daily operations of crushing plants, batching plants, and asphalt plants, including maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Monitor production processes and equipment performance to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to specifications.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all production personnel.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to conduct regular inspections and tests on materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Prepare production reports, performance metrics, and budgets, and provide regular updates to project management.
• Implement cost-effective measures to optimise production processes and reduce operational expenses.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards in all production activities.

Job Specification

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in the construction or infrastructure industry, with specific experience in Crusher, Batching, and Asphalt operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of crushing, batching, and asphalt production processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team and drive performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
