Job Description

CRICKET ASSOCIATION OF NEPAL (CAN) is the official governing body of cricket in Nepal with the head office in Mulpani,
Kathmandu, Nepal and it is Nepal’s representative at the International Cricket Council. It is also a member of the Asian Cricket
Council (ACC).

CAN is looking for qualified candidates for the following role:

Position: Procurement Officer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support in developing and implementing annual procurement plans in alignment with CAN’s strategic priorities, event calendars, and departmental requirements.
2. Manage end-to-end procurement processes including vendor pre-qualification, RFQs/ RFPs/ tenders, bid evaluation, and contract finalization in accordance with CAN’s Financial Policies and Public Procurement best practices.
3. Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations of Nepal, ICC guidelines, and internal audit requirements
through proper documentation and transparent procedures.
4. Oversee supplier performance, delivery timelines, and contract compliance while maintaining strong vendor relationships
and resolving procurement-related issues efficiently.
5. Maintain accurate procurement records, support internal and external audits, and contribute to budgeting, financial reporting, and continuous improvement of procurement systems and controls.

Qualification and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field
2. At least 2 years of experience in relevant field
3. Knowledge on public procurement

Relevant Skills:

1. Strong communication skills in both English and Nepali
2. Strong knowledge of MS Office.
3. Knowledge on the use of software is desirable.
