Job Description
Job Purpose
To manage and control all inventory operations, including raw glass, processed glass, consumables, and finished goods, ensuring accurate stock levels, proper storage, and uninterrupted support to production activities.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate stock records of raw glass, processed glass, and consumables
Monitor stock levels and conduct regular audits (daily/weekly/monthly)
Ensure proper storage to prevent breakage, damage, or contamination
Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory methods
Coordinate with production, purchase, and dispatch teams
Maintain documentation (GRN, issue slips, ERP entries, stock reports)
Inspect incoming materials and segregate defective items
Track and minimize losses (breakage, theft, misplacement)
Supervise store staff and ensure safety compliance
Job Specification
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma/Bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in inventory/store management (preferably manufacturing/glass industry)
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of glass types and processing (Tempering, IGU, Lamination)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, etc.)
- Good command of Excel and reporting
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving ability
Other Requirements
- Ability to work in a factory/warehouse environment
- Physically capable of handling fragile/heavy materials
- Knowledge of safety practices (PPE, handling techniques)
