Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous Inventory / Stock Officer to manage, monitor, and maintain accurate records of our inventory. This role ensures that stock levels are optimized, properly stored, and accurately reported, supporting smooth operations across purchasing, sales, and warehouse functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of all stock and inventory transactions.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess items promptly.
  • Record goods received (GRN) and goods issued (dispatches) accurately.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts to reconcile with records.
  • Prepare detailed inventory and stock reports for management.
  • Ensure proper storage, organization, and labeling of items to prevent damage or misplacement.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and store departments to manage stock replenishment.
  • Implement measures to prevent loss, damage, or misuse of inventory.
  • Update inventory data in computer systems or registers regularly.
  • Assist in audits and support continuous improvement of inventory management processes.
Job Specification
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or stock control.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).
  • Good numerical, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in records.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in physical stock audits and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of safety and storage standards for inventory management.
  • Ability to train or guide junior staff in proper stock handling procedures.
