Job Description
  • With the assistance and guidance from Protection Officer (Community-Based), strengthen the capacity of community based organizations and in particular to act as the focal point and liaison for specific CBOs for daily contact and coordination. 

  • Maintain and update the key database including ProGres of individual cases related to community service functions and produce a regular statistics.

  • Monitor partner agencies activities and reporting back to the office of the key findings.

  • Arrange meetings, and assist in preparing a note/minutes on meetings, both internal and external.

  • Translate document and act as interpret for the sub-unit and similarly upon request made by other units or sub units through the Associate Community Service Officer.

  • Timely and accurately update key community service database, and produce the statistics on regular basis.

  • Effective communication and coordination with CBOs for which s/he is assigned as a focal person.

  • Timely and accurate translation of document upon request.

  • Provide useful inputs through project monitoring based on the expected outputs by the partners.

  • Prepare good quality minutes/notes.

  • Perform any other duties as required.

Job Specification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali.

  • A good team player, and ability to communicate well across diversified cultures.

  • High degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

  • Good organization skills.

  • Good at empowering and building trust with diversified stakeholders and good stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of computer and use of various computer software packages, i.e. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Broad knowledge of refugee protection and humanitarian assistance desirable.

  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural setting.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Nepali.
