About the Role
12iD is looking for a DevOps engineer to build and maintain our cloud infrastructure and on-premises deployed solutions. The professional will be a crucial part of the operations team and the success of 12iD. The ideal candidate will have experience in both AWS and GCP.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deploy, implement and maintain our platform product on AWS and on-premises deployments on a daily basis
- Mitigate defects and propose strategies for disaster recovery and enable such strategies in the team workflow
- Contribute to the feature roadmap, suggest improvements to our backlog
- Contribute to the solution quality with measurements, automation and tests
- Enable security and reliability of the platform and safe storage of data
- Be a team player in creating professional software craftsmanship
The role may develop over time.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years experience working as a Senior DevOps, Cloud or Reliability Engineer with a good understanding of agile software development methodologies
- 2-5 years Experience in containerization solutions (ie Kubernetes, Docker) as well as cloud environments (AWS, GCP). Certification from AWS and GCP is preferred
- Experience with technologies that enable cloud monitoring and logging support
- 4-5 years experience with Linux/Unix and have experience working with deploying and maintaining applications and services with high reliability and availability
- Must be independent and have a good problem-solving attitude
- Must have a strong sense of responsibility and urgency
- Preferably have basic knowledge of banking integration of software solutions and conceptual understanding of blockchain technologies
- Professional attitude for communication and progress reporting
- Fluent in English and Nepalese
