Job Description
Project implementation
- Review LIP's quaterly project implementation plan to ensure activities are as per the contract, ensure plans are in Gantt fromat with forecasted budget.
- Review quaterlu fund forecast prepared by LIPs based on approved sub agreement budget and ensure budget is available with LIPs for project implementation without any budget dry out periods.
- Ensure LIPs project espenses are within contracted budget line headings and as per the fund forecast submitted to PSI/ Nepal .
- Ensure adherence of LIPs to quaterly plan and budget to implement activites and in case of deviance requirement, ensure prior approval from the Senior Manager , Adolescent FP.
- Establish good coordination with LIP's project staff and provide required support as necessary thorugh ttimely communication with regional manager and senior manager , adolenscent FP.
- Review project deliverables and timely report to Senior manager , Adolescent FP for any identified delays or underperformance to take timely actions.
- Identify risks and design mitigation plan or request for change in activites sequencing ( external and internal enviroment sensing ) and timely report such requirements to Senior manager , adolescent FP.
- Review LIPs programmatic and financial reports as stipulated in the project contract and forward the reports to senior manager , Adolescent FP for further action.
Assurance of Quality of Project Activities, Monitoring and Supervision
- Coordinate with LIP and PSI/ Nepal QATO for timely service quality assurance visits in the network facilites.
- Conduct monitoring visit of network facilities to assess adolescent and youth friendliness services as per the AYFS protocol.
- Conduct monitoring and supervision visits using appropriate tools specific to project activites and timely communicate with regional manager and LIPs about the observation for timely action.
- Ensure BCC and other project acitivities are implemented as per the Standard Operationg Procedures(SoPs).
- Ensure adolescent and youth are engaged in meaningful way for demand generation activities from planning to implementation of the events.
- Use projet quality standard monitoring tools and report as per the PSI / nepal M & E guidelines.
- Ensure service records are managed as per the CBRM guidelines and stored securely.
- Support PSI/ Nepal M&E team in maintaing data quality and ensure LIPs enter project data in dhis2 on timely basis.
- Use project data to monitor project status and report Regional Manager for necessary action.
Job Specification
- BPH or relevant degree required
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in ASRH and/or family planning program management with bachelor’s degree or 2 years of experience with master’s degree in public health
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with stakeholders and demonstrable ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent writing, public speaking, training, and group facilitation skills required
- Familiarity with current evidence and best practices for ASRH
- Familiarity of the provincial health system and provincial/ local governments
