Job Description
- Development of new and maintenance of existing web application features
- Writing server-side web application logic in Ruby, around the Rails framework
- Develop back-end components
- Connect the application with the other (often third-party) web services,
- Design robust, scalable and secure features
- Extending and maintaining JSON and APIs
Job Specification
- Knowledge of the full web stack including HTTP, CSS, REST
- Experience with Git and Github
- Development experience with ReactJs/VueJS/AngularJs or any related Javascript framework is plus
- Familiar with aws, capistrano deployment
- Demonstrated experience working with SQL backends, preferably Postgres
- Ability to work independently on large, complex code bases, including designing and adding major new features
- The candidate will be well versed in objected oriented design (OOD/OOP) and the software design lifecycle.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Rspec, Capybara, Jenkin
- Passion for performance and benchmarking, and experience finding and eliminating bottlenecks
