Job Description

The Waiter Captain at Mughal Empire is responsible for leading the service team on the restaurant floor, ensuring exceptional guest experience through efficient service, staff supervision, and adherence to the restaurant’s service standards. The role combines hands-on service with team leadership to maintain the elegance and hospitality associated with Mughal Empire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate waiters and service staff during shifts
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and high-quality service
  • Greet and seat guests, explain the menu, and assist with food and beverage recommendations
  • Take and monitor orders to ensure accuracy and timely service
  • Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints professionally
  • Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and overall dining area presentation
  • Train new service staff on service standards, etiquette, and menu knowledge
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service operations
  • Monitor staff grooming, punctuality, and discipline
  • Assist in closing duties, billing, and cash handling when required
Job Specification
  • Minimum Higher Secondary (+2) completed; hospitality training preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in restaurant service, with at least 2 years worked as captain
  • Strong knowledge of food service, menu presentation, and guest handling
  • Excellent communication skills in English and local language(s)
  • Good leadership and team-management skills
  • Pleasant personality with professional grooming standards
  • Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
